"Thou shalt see greater things then these", these were the words spoken to Nathanael by the Lord
Jesus Christ on his first interview with him. John 1, 50.Much had been seen by Nathanael so far and
much had happened in his life. He had seen the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
He had discovered the
Lord Jesus Christ knew all about his past and present life as well as what lay ahead. He had
confessed Christ as the Son of God and this he did
because he believed in him. Christ Promised he would see greater things, greater proofs of his
Messiahship and that he was come to be the Saviour of all mankind.
Mission of Mercy has seen great
things during the past year. Great efforts have been made to serve the most needy people. Great
distance have been traveled into the most remote and isolated places. Great medical help has been
provided for the sick. Great teaching has been given on daily living , that a more healthy standard
of life may be lived such places when visited later have shown that this teaching has not been in
vain.
Numbers with their medical skills and care, along with others rendering practical help, have
sacrificed to make this possible and this must be appreciated. Above all the one in whose name all
this has been done, the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, he has been presented to the
people as the one who came into the world to save our souls and to care for us in all our daily
need.
Greater things were promised to Nathanael and in the Lord greater
things lie a head for Mission of Mercy. Greater needs have to be met. Greater opportunities are
a head. Greater challenges still before all and greater demands will be made on all. In all this
greater opportunity then to serve the Lord. Greater things were promised Nathanael because he
believed, on the same condition will greater things be ahead for Mission of Mercy, may God himself
given us the faith to believe.
