About Bethesda - A Mission of Mercy :-                 

Rev.Thomas Orr lighted “BETHESDA –A MISSION OF MERCY", in the heart of Dr.Prabhu Kumar Challagali. The birth of mission of Mercy – 19 November 2004. Before this a thesis was prepared by the Director Dr.Prabhu Kumar Challagali for about three years on the lifestyle and sufferings of the people residing in different parts of the state when it is found that lot of people was crying suffering from Poverty, Illiteracy, Lack of Awareness and Lack of Medical aid. The thesis was submitted to the precious presence of Rev.Thomas Orr, by the prayer and blessings of him the thesis turned up as a Projec.

By the Prayers, Teachings & Valuable suggestions of Rev.Thomas Orr and by the ethical support of his parents Mr. Daniel Challagali & Mrs. Elizebeth Daniel. Our Mission director dedicated his life for the welfare of the poor & needy, he joined himself into Medical Education in the year 2002 April and he completed his Bachelor degree in Medicine & Surgery, specialized in Diabetology.

Meanwhile under the Honorable Director ship of Rev.Thomas Orr & Director ship of Dr.Prabhu Kumar the Mission was able to reach various unreachable parts of the state with Teams of Doctors and Conducted free Medical camp, Eye camp for Cataract Operations, Epileptic & Psychiatry camp, Awareness Progarmmes, Educational Programmes, General medical camp, Camp for Tribal, Many number of leading Newspaper & Media reported & Stated that the Mission of Mercy was able to save many number of lives at the time of Natural Calamities, Communicable diseases, Viral fever in the hilly mountain regions.

Today Mission of Mercy took a challenging role in the society to prevent health problem and to educate and bring happiness and a bright smile in the major parts of the Country under Poverty line. Research Programmes are also going on in the various tribal parts of the state. This is the information about Mission of Mercy-Bethesda, Which I know personally and I thank the Director for giving me this opportunity.
